 The Krishnamurti Foundation of America

October 2014

Dear Friends,

You may have received our Annual Appeal in the mail this week. There are only two times a year when we request your financial support for this important work. Your generosity makes it possible to share Krishnamurti’s teachings with the world, bringing to light the crisis in human consciousness itself, which is at the root of conflict and war.

The World Within is an invitation to explore different aspects of our human consciousness: desire, hate, emptiness, beauty, etc. It is also the theme for this year’s study programs, outreach, and the newest publication.

All of the Krishnamurti Educational Center Programs are opportunities to explore the world within. This November and January we are holding our weeklong Study-Intensive Programs, in which groups study Krishnamurti’s work together and explore themselves in both silence and dialogue. Krishnamurti has often pointed out the importance of silence and dialogue, alluding to their potential to transform and the power of this transformation to support the growth of the human race.

I want to express my gratitude to all who have made a financial contribution to this vital work and invite you to support us again today by making an online donation at kfa.org/sustain.

Best wishes,

Jaap Sluijter
Executive Director
“A dialogue is very important. It is a form of communication in which question and answer continues till a question is left without an answer. Thus the question is suspended between two persons involved in this answer and question. It is like a bud with untouched blossoms. If the question is left totally untouched by thought, it then has its own answer because the questioner and answerer, as persons, have disappeared. This is a form of dialogue in which investigation reaches a certain point of intensity and depth, which then has a quality that thought can never reach.”
